Lazy-i Best of 2009 Sampler
Here we are again at the end of a decade. For this year's annual comp CD, I contemplated pulling together a "Best of the '00s" mix, but changed my mind, figuring we'd all be better off if we could just forget the last 10 years (except, of course, for the music). Instead, here's the usual collection of the best of the best of bands I've run across during my sojourns for The Reader and Lazy-i.com. There's a heavy dose of Nebraska-connected artists represented, which I've conveniently designated with an asterisk (*) so you'll have something to talk about if you ever run into them at the local Hy-Vee. As always, thanks go out to artist/genius Donovan Beery (Eleven19.com) for the eye-popping CD sleeve design. See you at the end of the '10s.
